"Getting out of real prison is easier than getting out of Twitter prison," Shkreli, 39, wrote on his Facebook page Wednesday, referring to his ban from Twitter...In a throwback to the days when Shkreli was one of the most prominent trolls on Twitter, a friend of his tweeted a photo of them together smiling in a car after his release, with the caption: "Picked up this guy hitchhiking. Says he's famous."

KEYWORDS: again; shkreli
As I recall, none of Shkrelis investors actually lost money, even though Shkreli was convicted of fraud. He may have been convicted on one charge of anti-competitive conspiracy, too.

His arrogance knows no bounds. Probably didn’t learn a thing in prison ‘cept how to do it better next time.

"Pharma Bro"

Typical CNBC Op-Ed editorializing in the headline. The 5 Ws are long dead.

Most ex-cons learn the craft of “not getting caught” while on the inside. Prison is a joke anymore. Bring back chain gangs and actual hard labor. There’s no deterrent to committing crime. Most people would live better lives in the prison system than at home.

I don’t remember exactly what it was they put him away for... but I remember he was the poster boy for pharma greed at the time. He bought a company that had a special drug and jacked the price from something like $2.50 to $750 a month. (I wondered why the original owners of the drug didn’t think about doing that).

He made himself a target by doing that at a time when Hillary! and others were on a political rampage against pharma pricing. Maybe he didn’t contribute to the right campaigns. Or made the wrong enemies on Wall Street. Bill Ackman was big financier and promoter of a company that is now Bausch Health that was doing the same thing. Buying up smaller pharmas and rolling them up and jacking the pricing. Trades under BHC now and under $20 a share but was as I recall $400 or something a share when Ackman was pumping it up (and they have loads of debt from all the acquisitions).

With his kind of money he was easily able to hire in-prison security for himself.

Shkreli actually did commit fraud against one group of investors, but he made them whole with stock and cash from another company he owned.

He claimed "no harm-no foul" in court, but he still got convicted on the charge.
