Breaking up the FBI does not change the situation. In fact, it makes it worse as there will now be more of the same organizations, and it will be harder to manage.
What needs to happen is REAL oversite by firing individuals who either are not doing their jobs or who are protecting establishment / connected individuals.

What needs to happen is REAL oversite by firing individuals who either are not doing their jobs or who are protecting establishment / connected individuals. For that to happen, civil service protections need to be ended, with each employee being able to be fired by the President, and the president not being required to give a reason.

Trump fired Comey for violating DOJ guidelines to protect Hillary. That led to a special council against Trump and associates, when it should have been the other way around.
