One might think his son would understand the need for armed protection at schools. I would venture to postulate that Steve Kerr has an understandable visceral fear reaction to any gun violence, and he couples that with any protective notions he has toward any group. I would guess he might not want prison guards to have guns.
He should tell the gangbangers in Chicago to put down their weapons first. From what I read, at least 41 children under 18 died in Chicago in 2021 due to gunfire. And that was reported in September of 2021.
