Three days after 19 children and two adults were murdered by a gunman at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, the House Committee on Oversight and Reform announced it had asked five gun manufacturers for data about the production and sale of semi-automatic weapons.
Chairwoman Carolyn Maloney (D-NY) issued letters to Bushmaster Firearms Industries, Daniel Defense, Sig Sauer, Smith & Wesson Brands, and Strum, Ruger & Company on Friday, accusing them of “aggressively” marketing assault weapons to the general public, despite “strong public support for an assault-weapon ban.”

Ahhhhh, here we go again.
Those leftist, communist, fascist, marxist, socialist, anarchist, liberal, demonKKKrat, sewage, trash scumbags have done this same crap after every school shooting, with the same result: nothing, and a lot of Taxpayers’ hard-earned spent.
Trying to set the dog and pony show hearings right before the election. What they are forgetting is how many blue state folks rushed to gun stores and applied for permits right after the BLM rioting. They may not brag about their “new gun” to their lib friends, but they know if their children are at risk, a gun and not the police is their best option.
Agressively marketing?
Is that like “predatory loans” where banks forced people to come in and take money so the government wouldn’t sue them for ‘redlining’?
If they don’t like the Second Amendment, they can leave the country. I will drive them to the airport.
Stop blaming law-abiding Americans for the acts of deranged criminals.
AMERICANS ARE NOT GIVING UP THEIR FIREARMS. PERIOD !
If America is too dangerous for people, why are millions of foreigners breaking U.S. immigration laws and risking their lives to come here?
Except there isn't.
So, if we stopped advertising alcohol, it would keep people from becoming alcoholics?
Oh, FFS. Of course they market their products (which aren’t assault weapons). That’s what manufacturers of anything should do if they want to stay in business.
The House has no “oversight” pertaining to gun makers or any other business.
They should all just NOT respond. Leave her scratching her head wondering why the responses haven’t come in yet.
My bowling score is horrible.
We need to investigate the Bowling Ball Manufacturing companies
Makes about the same level of sense, doesn’t it?
FReepmail me if you want to be added to or deleted from the list.

How are the “aggressively marketing” assault weapons? Has anyone seen a commercial or billboard encouraging people to buy an AR? The ONLY place I have seen ads for guns in the past 30 years are in gun magazines. If anyone is marketing “assault weapons” it’s first person shooter video games.
Details, details……
The Ruger factory is here in a nearby town in NH and the only advertising I have seen for it is for job openings.
Ruger has an even bigger facility in Prescott AZ.
When did Sturm, Ruger become STRUM, Ruger?
“Is that like “predatory loans” where banks forced people to come in and take money so the government wouldn’t sue them for ‘redlining’?”
The CRA on steroids. It caused the crash of 2008.
The punk made his intentions known. Teachers heard nothing though, eh?
“The House has no “oversight” pertaining to gun makers or any other business.”
It does since it gave itself that authority. Now shut up and pay your taxes; and don’t forget to get vaxxed!
