Biden goes on anti-gun tirade, suggests there’s ‘no rational basis’ for 9mm pistols

President Biden ranted against ownership of what he called “high-caliber weapons” Monday — appearing to suggest that there should be restrictions on the most popular handgun in America, the 9mm pistol, and repeating a previously debunked claim that the Second Amendment prohibits ownership of cannons.

Speaking to reporters outside the White House after returning to Washington from a weekend that included a visit to the site of last week’s mass shooting in Texas, Biden recounted a visit to a trauma hospital in New York, where he said doctors had showed him X-rays of gunshot wounds caused by various firearms.

“They said a .22-caliber bullet will lodge in the lung, and we can probably get it out — may be able to get it and save the life,” Biden said. “A 9mm bullet blows the lung out of the body.

“So the idea of these high-caliber weapons is, uh, there’s simply no rational basis for it in terms of thinking about self-protection, hunting,”

I’m done with leftists telling us what we “don’t need.” Don’t need gas-fueled cars, don’t need cars period, don’t need freedom of speech, assembly, etc., don’t need an “assault rifle”, and now don’t need “high-caliber” pistols like the 9mm.

But the .50 caliber Desert Eagle is just fine… Brandon approved. Biden gives new meaning to the word “clueless.” As for his demented explanation for why a .22 is better for self-defense and hunting (hunting what?), umm…the last thing on my mind when selecting a self-defense weapon is “Will the guy I have to shoot survive, and will the doctors be able to easily remove the bullet from his lung?” All I care about is that it will stop the threat.

Oh yeah, and why do the cops get to carry guns that can “blow lungs out” and not me? Have they checked with BLM on these “lung-destroying” guns that the cops are carrying? Of course, we all know that they won’t stop until every gun, including the ones that they deem acceptable right now (like the .22) are outlawed. They’ll just keep redefining what is “not needed” until they achieve their evil goal.
