Michael Sussmann, a lawyer representing Hillary Clinton's 2016 campaign, has been found not guilty of a single count of lying to the FBI when he said he was not working on behalf of any client when he alleged a covert communications channel between the Trump Organization and Russia's Alfa Bank.
Sussmann was charged under 18 U.S.C. 1001 with lying to the FBI during a meeting with then-FBI general counsel James Baker when he came forward with what he claimed was evidence of possible covert communications between the Trump organization and Alfa, a Russian bank. Sussmann allegedly concealed that he was representing the Clinton campaign, which he billed for his efforts.
The verdict comes after a two week trial led to more than a day of deliberations... by this jury:

Sussman is a little fish comparatively.
While I’m not happy about this, I do wonder if Durham
continues his march to the Queen of this operation.
THEN he seeks a change of venue.
A decent judge reviewing this case, will see the need for
that change of venue.
Sussman was free the moment the trial was situated
in W., D.C.

Every man and women for themselves. I’ve been practicing “getting mine and my families” for a while now. Screw our so called justice system. And yea, my attitude is contributing to the downfall. There was zero chance a DC jury would vote 12-0 to convict a high level rat.

This now gives Garland cover to shut down the entire investigation.
I’m not a big fan of the ‘lie to the FBI, go to jail law.’... I’m actually more a fan of the ‘get rid of the FBI completely’ law. That being said, this was never going to happen in DC. Jury nullification is widely accepted as a legitimate political tactic in the black community.
The right needs to start jury nullification regardless as to what the evidence shows. Anytime you are on the jury, make your decision based on politics rather than the law.
Yes, Hillary’s credibility and career are in the toilet. Some good did come out in the trial.
Disgusting, proof that there is no justice in our banana republic. The Judge is an Obama judge, whose daughter is acquainted with Sussman’s daughter. The judge allowed several pro Hillary donors to be on the jury. This case was the equivalent of shoveling shit against the tide. The MSM will have a field day portraying Sussman and Hillary as martyrs.
So what, it apparently wasn’t against the law, the Durham investigation is over, this was the first and supposedly the easiest case to prove, anything that comes next will be dismissed as a right wing conspiracy
We joke that Biden is just a Resident of the White House.
However, his and Obama's policies have so undermined the nature of the American Empire, that we are now mere residents of the US.
In what way are our values represented by our current laws and the current crop of "representatives"?
The "patriotic" thing is to pretend that somehow with enough effort we will once again be a Constitutional Republic, but it is just as true that with enough effort we will put a colony on Pluto.
The verdict is not a surprise given the DC jurisdiction and its jury pool, but that’s not the big story. This “losing” case has destroyed the attorney-client privilege that the big fish were counting on to defend themselves. That strategic victory outweighs any conviction of Sussman, as the evidence is on the record and the attorneys’ records are in the prosecutors’ hands. The Special Counsel, Durham can try a case in any federal district - and Durham’s next trial is coming up in Virginia.
Durham’s whole investigation is now toast.
No justice for any of their wrongs will come until Judgement Day.

Within 2 years, I will be out of my “freak state”. I have fled to the mountains, and many will be with me. We will rebuild to take care of our own. Food, water, and shelter is all we need, and those necessities will not come from this beast, that’s for sure.

It’s not an investigation. It’s a CYA op for DOJ and the swamp. Given that I doubt they shut it down.
I wouldn’t argue with any of that.
I will say though, that if the law states you can’t lie to
the FBI, it should be upheld in court.
Can’t a judge nullify a jury decision if it is clearly
in conflict with the evidence presented?
I thought that I have seen that in the past, but perhaps
