I think torturing and killing animals is the single most accurate predictor of a future/current mass murderer.
Farmers whacking crop rats excluded.

Agree completely but we have known this since I was a child more than 60 years ago. A kid who tortured animals was seen as sick and needing treatment.

I read that also. One student described the killer as a bully.
When I was small, I remember one of our neighbors’ kids, the oldest one, chopped the head off a dead kitten. How the kitten died I don’t remember.
And he was laughing while he did it. I remember being creeped out by it.
Every once in a while I Google his name. He’s not here, locally thank God.
There are a few with his name around the country, but I don’t know if one of them is him.
I gotta go hug my cats now.
