England’s national football team was roundly booed in Hungary for taking the knee prior to what proved to be a 1-0 loss to the Central European country.
The English national side, managed by Gareth Southgate and captained by Harry Kane, has doggedly persisted in carrying out the gesture, derided as virtue-signalling by some and leftist politicisation of football by others, long after players from most other countries — and indeed, English players in other sports — have quietly moved on since the height of the Black Lives Matter unrest in 2020, and it was poorly received in Hungary on June 4th.
The booing has incensed Southgate and his fellow-travellers in politics and the media, not least because Hungary was supposed to be subject to a temporary spectator ban by the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) and the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), following allegations that Hungarian fans had unfurled banners reading ‘ANTI LMBTQ’ — the Hungarian equivalent of LGBTQ — and making racist comments and gestures towards ethnic minority players.
In fact, some 35,000 Hungarians are believed to have attended the match, due to a loophole in the ban allowing under-14s from schools and football academies to attend with their parents, according to The Times.

Incidentally, the US plays England in their first game of the World Cup on Black Friday. I’m not a big soccer fan, but I always love to see the meltdowns in soccer loving countries in Europe when their teams fail to advance in the World Cup. I don’t think any of our national teams will ever win it and I doubt very few of us even care.

I was a member of Sam’s Army because I’m a patriotic American. Not anymore after the knee dropping sh*t. I followed them closely before.
For those who dont know, the US national team “recruits” by talking other FOREIGN players who have US passports tp play for their team.
They do NOT necc. love the US nor have any loyalty but do it for the sake of PLAYING for a national team (in their other country) that didnt cut them.
Another thing is POLITICS> The US Soccer officials play the “American first” when hiring coaches but when Jurgen Klinsmann ran the program, he was actually good record-wise and reached the World Cup. The other has-been coach Bruce Arena FAILED miserably and that’s good because he allowed the knee-anthem shenanigans to continue. I was actually quite happy they failed because the players were all foreign assholes who didnt act American..
ND THATS just what it is too- thyensay they want equal treatment, but they already have equal treatment. What they really mean is they demand SPECIAL treatment (which they also have, as they are above the law in many many cases, whereas white folks are now,the ones being discriminated against, maligned, attacked, and accused of being “white supremacists” when nothing could be further from the truth etc)

If anyone ever knew the history of Hungary, they were right front and center when battling the Mooslum vermin from ruling Europe.
Case in point: Count Dracula or Vlad iii. Hungary backed Vlad 3 when he was impaling the Turks by the thousands. Actually hundreds of thousands. One of the greatest Christian knights in history Hunyadi, hails from Hungary and was the mentor to Vlad. He just couldn’t make Vlad stop impaling his enemies lol

MOST of the players for the US National Team are children of US servicemen from US basea abroad. If they loved the US, they would easily or early on, be part of the U-17 team program.
But a lot of them DON’T. They’d rather TRY to make it to the say, German national team, and when they get cut, they pray the US will take them.
If you dont make the cut to the German national team program, you are NOT that good. Plain and simple.
