The UMC has no principles. They have incessantly failed to discipline errant members. The new organization will be no better.
It NEEDED to split. Like Lot leaving Sodom and Gomorrah...no looking back. The righteous people have to get out.

Perhaps you would care to provide some reliable and verifiable information to back it up?
You do not know that. I have heard, though, that some conservative Methodist churches have joined the Free Methodist Church, leaving the UMC altogether. Mainly ones in the South.
There are Bishops in the Methodist church who do not believe in the Divinity of Christ or that the Bible is the Word of God. So what do you expect?
