When Russian TOCs and various rear echelon units begin to get a dose of this long range artillary look for a
major shift in the progress of this war.
Facile gestures. Facile weaponry.
“look for a major shift”
Toward nuclear?
Facile? Hardly. It’s a rather complex rocket system which can effectively deliver ground launched cluster munitions 55 miles away. Given the large impact zone it is a highly effective counter-battery weapon. IMO the M270 SPLL is a bit over kill. The HIMARS will prove more effective in the long run due to its lower maintenance requirement.
Facile claim!
Get back to us after the first few hundred Russian soldiers have been blown to Kingdom Come using these!
Regards,
machinery yet to be demonstrated…
As of now, I’m right, and you’re both anticipating.
Yet to be demonstrated? The system has been in use for nearly 40 years. All it takes is a GPS or INS fix for the firing location and met data inputs. Both firing and target points can be somewhat ambiguous in which case the dispersal altitude and rockets per mission are increased to ensure target destruction. The system has automated firing solutions for everything from trenches to moving vehicles. The ammo pods are frag and bullet resistant. Excellent weapon system. It just needs to be fed.
Nope.
Towards the dictator Putin ending his invasion
I hope those Russian soldiers rebel against Putin using them as sacrifices for Putin’s ego
This is the only way.
Get putin to stop the invasion.
There is no other solution.
It’s a decade old system.
Nit like the Russians claim for laser weapons...
As of now, you have made an unsupported assertion - whereas I have merely accused you of making an unsupported claim (while admittedly also expressing some optimism that the new weapons could prove devastating to the Russians).
Regards,
The problem is with logistics - getting munitions into the field. Of course, our bigger problem is we are giving a monkey a hand grenade.
Of course they will use it to fire into Russia. And it will draw a nasty response in return, possibly against a NATO city. This is largely due to the regime, who are so weak they cannot face losing another war. It may get lots of us killed.
If the Russians ever bombard a NATO city in the context of the current conflict in Ukraine, I'll personally PayPal you one hundred dollars.
Keep a record of this posting, and remind me of it when Russia launches a rocket at a NATO city, or fires artillery against a NATO city.
Regards,
My bet is Putin goes to the heart of the problem - striking at the heart of the Great Global Reset.
Because these thing use cluster munitions which can zero square miles.
I thought the new US artillery was the game changer to stop Russia’s progress. What’s next battlefield tactical nukes?
Good way to get Kiev hit and to expand the war.
“In a statement late Sunday, Wallace said: “As Russia’s tactics change, so must our support to Ukraine. These highly capable multiple-launch rocket systems will enable our Ukrainian friends to better protect themselves against the brutal use of long-range artillery, which Putin’s forces have used indiscriminately to flatten cities.”
What a liar.
The city where civilian facilities (non seized by the UKes and military occupied) are being “ brutally shelled” is Donetsk. And not by Russia. And not for the first time.
As the Ukes face defeat, they apparently decided to flatten the future capital of the DPR.
