Seattle principal stonewalled police after man terrorized school

A man suspected of being high on meth allegedly jumped over the fence at a Seattle elementary school, entered a portable classroom, and attempted to steal students’ backpacks. It prompted a school lockdown. But when police arrived, the school principal would not cooperate. It likely played a role in the suspect then attempting to hijack a delivery van moments later.

The suspect is 20-year-old Liban Harasam and, according to police, is a High Utilizer — the designation for prolific offenders that the Seattle City Attorney will now prioritize after arrest.

Oh, well, as long as he was just trying to steal from the kids and not shooting them. /S

Seriously, what’s wrong with the principle?

I never cared much for school. Well, it wasn’t school, per se, it was the principal of the thing.

I taught for many years in an urban public school district. The old-timer administrators were okay. But they were all gone by 2005 or so. Today’s administrators have three top priorities:

1. Suppress bad publicity.
2. Suppress bad publicity.
3. Suppress bad publicity.

By golly, all three are the same! Notice that student safety, staff safety, and student achievement are all not on that list.

So the cops should return to what they were doing earlier and let the school handle the problem, whether it turns out good or bad.

the newly elected City Attorney is Gop and pro-police which is a miracle in retarded blue leftard city like Seattle. If she didnt keep a file of these scumbags which her predecssor didnt do anything with, the cops wouldnt catch them.

ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL

This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)

The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.

SPJNK.
Some People Just Need Killing.

The nice AMs & SBMs asked me not to use “killing”, “execution”, “exterminate”, “shoot” etc when referring to leftists, commies, fascists, antifa, murderers, rapists, child molesters, blm etc, so I invented the SPJNK acronym.

Feel free to use it and spread it around.

Harasam was previously cited for assault in May, 2020 but under previous City Attorney Pete Holmes, the city did not file charges.

So the principal didn't cooperate this time and the city didn't file charges before. The upshot is a violent lunatic who apparently is free to steal children's possessions. Welcome to a "transformed" America.
