Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen on Tuesday claimed the Biden administration has exhausted efforts to reduce energy costs for American citizens.
Gas soared to a tenth day consecutive record high of $4.91 per gallon on Tuesday. Prices have more than doubled since former President Donald Trump left office.
Speaking at the Senate Finance Committee, Yellen said “the administration has done everything that they can” to reduce energy prices.
Yellen did not mention Biden’s war on American energy, which includes driving up private and public financing costs of oil drilling, halting drilling on public lands, and canceling the Keystone pipeline.

Shutting down pipelines, ripping up drilling leases was supposed to lower energy prices???
I have great respect for the wisdom and experience that can come with age.
But some people just go senile.
In my view of the Biden mis-administration, it has done everything in its power to INCREASE gasoline, diesel, home heating oil, and natural gas prices and shut down coal production.

Yeah shutting down the XL pipeline and not renewing federal drilling leases were a real doozies. He’s working real hard at keeping gas prices up.

A HUGE lie. If Biden did three things, gas prices would start falling overnight:
1. Reverse his EO on the XL Pipeline and federal oil leases
2. Speed the permitting process for pipelines to move oil and gas to markets and refineries and the construction of new power plants.
3. Guarantee these changes would remain in effect for at least 20 years.
They know and we know the only way to get the prices down is to open up drilling for oil and finishing the pipelines he closed. Reduce and eliminate all environmental regulations and “drill baby drill.” That is the only solution to the runaway inflation. Go Trump go!!!
Yellen has put a new spin on that old saying, “Beatings will continue until morale improves.”
Yellen: Drilling restrictions will continue until gas prices improve.
The country is so messed up I doubt that even Trump could fix it in four years. It will take a lot more than that, if its even possible. The problem is our national ethos has changed for the worse. A secondary problem is that we don’t have a political party that is willing to do anything about it.
Yesterday I got shit-faced drunk and crashed inside the house from dawn to dusk. Then I went out and drank some more. But I’ve done everything I possibly can to find a job and support myself.
