China secretly building foreign military base in Cambodia

According to The Washington Post report, citing Western officials, China is constructing a naval base for its military in Cambodia, with both Beijing and Phnom Penh going to great lengths to conceal the operation.

According to a Western official speaking on condition of anonymity, the facility, which will occupy a portion of Cambodia’s Ream Naval Base on the Gulf of Thailand, will be only China’s second foreign outpost after the opening of a base in the East African nation of Djibouti in 2017.

The base is said to be located west of the South China Sea, where Beijing has territorial claims with several countries. According to sources, it will be able to house large naval vessels.

The leadership in Beijing sees “the Indo-Pacific as China’s rightful and historic sphere of influence”, one official was quoted as saying.

Big secret! Only secret to the Western media and intelligence organs. Everybody knows that the Chicoms have essentially colonized Sihanoukville, Cambodia, for years as they've constructed a port as part of their belt and road initiative.

One thing they didn't mention in this article (as the WaPo stenographer was too stupid to figure out 2+2) is that China also controls a major port in Sri Lanka.

Guess what lies halfway between Cambodia and Sri Lanka?

The Malacca Straits. The busiest shipping route on the planet.

The article, though it neglected to mention Sri Lanka, did mention Djibouti. For those not 100% up on their geography, Djibouti is at the entrance of the Red Sea. At the other end of the Red Sea is the Suez Canal. Thus, the second busiest shipping route in the world.

Hmmm. Interesting.

Too bad our leaders can’t come out and say China is a threat or as Patton might put it:

“China is the enemy”

They push the Russia narrative to mask China as the real big threat that it is.

The leaders of our nation and other allied countries in “Five Eyes” intelligence-defense alliance are messed up IMHO.
