People who pay upwards of $2 million for a fixer-upper in SF - only to find out they have homeless camped out in front of their homes, using the sidewalk as a toilet, shooting up in front of their children and screaming racial and sexual things at them every time they leave their home - have had enough (this is a real scenario, BTW, I have immediate family in the city and have seen this).
Even über-lefty virtue signalers have their limit.
Maybe in time SF will once again become a wonderful, safe place to visit, as it once was.
One can dream and hope...
They didn’t notice them when they were negotiating the contract and moving towards closing? They just “find out” later? Did they buy it sight unseen? One born every minute.
Back in the early 70s, after college graduation, I stayed at a friend’s apt in Haight Ashbury for a few months, and went back to NYC to get a real job.
My Sister lived in Marin Cty, on Mt Tamalpais, where she (RN-NP) and her husband (neurosurgeon) bought a $75,000 home, and she sold it in 2013 for $1.3m, and moved back here to York, PA.
Everyone else I know who lived in CA, has left for other states. It’s turned into a real shithole.
