A government agency doing a poor investigation is not necessarily a tort offense.
At this point the doctor didnt have any legal rulings against him that would have given the fbi more reasons to go after him and strengthen their claims of negligence regarding their investigations.
And if they are trying to sue in terms of personal liability, that will fail. Police are not liable for any individuals personal protection.
Hope they win their lawsuit!
