But, those men can be replaced by taking over a lot of other countries, and making citizens of those countries, Chinese citizens.

That only works if you are not a bunch of people who believe "my tribe is the only real humans".

To the Han Chinese even a half Han Chinese kid is lesser. And I am not talking about a half Han Chinese and half some flavor of European or some flavor of African. I mean half Han Chinese and half Tibetan or Korean or, especially, Japanese.

China has several hundred thousand excess military aged males. Considering their take on human rights, they have lots of expendable men currently. There are simply not enough women in China for them

That’s already true, but not “China” per se. In China, sons support the Family - his family, his wife’s, both sets of grandparents etc. Without the male income, the families would be destitute, homeless and face starvation. There is no social safety net in China of any but the most limited sort. Then the family needs money for medicine for hospitals all of which require bribes. No male income earners, they die.

The CCP knows this and knows that any large loss of troops would be its downfall, since there is no guarantee that any military action will not have large casualties - the CCP will bluff, bluster, plan, and scheme. But refrain from any actual military aggression.

Problem is they’re racist and want Han Chinese primacy. That’s what’s behind a lot of Uighur repression. They can’t abide other ethnic identities.
