It's hard to believe, but at one time, toomey was a conservative, and then he got elected.

Before covid, I used to go to DC every year, for over 10 years, to advocate for my veteran’s group, Paralyzed Veterans of America.
We always met with Toomey and Casey the last day of our visit to Congress.
After 5 years or so, Toomey stopped showing up. Bob Casey was always there in person. Had coffee and donuts for us. Was a big supporter of our mission (veteran’s health care).
Toomey sent his “aides” and we always had to find a room because nothing was planned ahead of time.
I lost faith in Toomey long ago.
