This was my first question. Coming from CA he likely had a connecting flight so possibly 2 planes and 3 airports. Regardless, they X-ray and inspect everything. They also said he went straight from the airport to the house via taxi. He didn’t have time (and it was nighttime, so not a lot of stores open) to pick up his assassination tools. Nothing makes sense.

Nothing makes sense.

It all makes perfect sense. He had some "new friends".

A mentally ill person gets just a little bit of encouragement from people with whom he regularly interacts. It does not take very much. There is a clearly defined mission described by multiple sources. The targeted actor internalizes the mission as his own idea. Obsessive people with a lot of time on their hands can make some very good plans for such missions. Maybe some very indirect logistical assistance shows up at a critical moment.

That leaves a trail of indicators which is possible to find, if authorities want to look for them. It is clear that authorities do not want to look for them.

Difficult to control the exact timing of these things, but if enough such people are cultivated, one of them will likely cook off at an opportune moment. Exactly who that person will be does not really matter.

We have cultural and institutional systems in place right now for manufacturing psychotic individuals. When the basic incentive is "never let a crisis go to waste", those systems will make more of them and set them loose.

No central conspiracy or directions are required. Everybody in the system knows what to do and does their part.

A.) Traveling with guns in checked baggage is A-OK; it’s just technicalities and paperwork.
B.) The article is deceptive; when you “fly to Washington DC” you DO NOT land IN Washington DC; you land across the Potomac in Virginia. So DC “gun control” laws don’t apply.
C.) Perp took a cab from Virginia to Maryland. I suppose the cab he took COULD have driven THROUGH DC on the way, but who’d expect a cabby to be all Third Degree about what’s in the baggage? “Don’t ask; don’t tell.”

I’m actually more concerned about the inattentiveness of the Federal Marshals “guarding” Kavanaugh’s home. They guy walks right past them, and they have zero curiosity what he’s packing around out there in the dark? I’d feel lots better if there were some declaration they’d noted and were keeping an eye on him.

AS usual, if you want an informative report, DON’T ask a “reporter.”
