While you’re paying $5 a gallon for gas, New York City is spending over $200k for drag shows at city schools

NEW YORK CITY- Fear not, America. While you’re paying $5 a gallon for gasoline, can’t find baby formula in most states, and are paying $24 for an order of chicken wings, sleep soundly knowing the city of New York feels your pain.

In yet another case of the government apparatus pissing away taxpayer dollars on dumb stuff, such as conducting torturous experiments on poodles, giving smartphones to illegal aliens, abandoning $80 billion in sophisticated military equipment in Afghanistan, and indoctrinating school children to hate America, there is the Big Apple.

According to the New York Post, the city that never sleeps has dropped over $207,000 in taxpayer money funding “Drag Story Hour NYC” since 2018 in a continuing effort to trans the kids. Oh to be sure it wasn’t only New York City taxpayer dollars that fund this garbage, but statewide tax dollars.

For example, last month alone, New York paid the group $46,000 from city contracts for appearances at schools (of course), street festivals and libraries, according to city records.

The group has put on 49 drag programs in 34 public elementary, middle, and high schools, it bragged on its website, with appearances occurring in all five city boroughs.

“I can’t believe this. I am shocked,” said one mother of a public school student, Helen Qui, who is also a state Assembly candidate.

“I would be furious if he was exposed without my consent. This is not part of the curriculum,” she continued.

According to Louder With Crowder, the funds came from a number of taxpayer-funded entities, including New York’s Council on Arts, the Departments of Education, Transportation, Cultural Affairs, and Youth and Community Development.

Anyone who claims these programs are “innocent” haven’t been paying attention. They are clearly designed to normalize what only a few years ago was considered bizarre, if not outrageous conduct. Now the radical left is attempting to mainstream it, and their target is young children. Remember when it was all about gay marriage? Yeah, good times.

So one must wonder what the intent of all of this is. Only one of two answers make sense…they are either trying to brainwash young children to believe dressing in drag is normal, or they are trying to trans the kids. Period.

For example, as the Post wrote, a recent drag event held at a Manhattan school “encourage[d] kids to choose their pronouns and invent drag names.” That would appear to be a dead giveaway.

“I am considering pulling funding to any school in my district that is implementing Drag Queen Story Hour,” said City Council member Vickie Paladino, a Queens Republican. “We are taking hundreds of thousands of dollars out of the pockets of hardworking New York taxpayers…to fund a program teaching little children about their gender fluidity? Not. On. My. Watch.”

In the city, most of the funds allocated came out of discretionary budgets, with $80,000 set aside for the group this fiscal year, more than triple the $25,000 earmarked in 2020.

The liberal pathogen that has spawned these drag queen story hours have been a prominent feature at public library branches throughout New York City since 2017. Upcoming events are scheduled for Manhattan’s Epiphany Library and the Woodside Public Library in Queens, along with a number of others.

While liberals claim the shows are “harmless” and are “fun” for children, the dark underbelly of these shows is much different, and proves what the shows are intended to do…normalize transgenderism and confuse kids.

Performers read aloud from a list of books that teach “acceptance” and “inclusion,” with titles such as “Where the Wild Things Are,” and “The Rainbow Fish,” while others openly advocate so-called “gender fluidity,” such as “The Hips on the Drag Queen Go Swish, Swish, Swish.”

Since the inmates started running the swamp in Washington, DC, however, things have gotten much darker, according to social media posts.

In April, a drag queen named Harmonica Sunbeam “wore a slinky gown to meet with kindergarteners at STAR Academy in Manhattan and color pages from ‘The Dragtivity Book,’ which encourages kids to choose their pronouns and invent drag names,” the Post wrote.

It’s all part of the ongoing effort to mainstream gay marriage, gay couples adopting children, transexuality and gender change, transvestites, etc. All things our society at large used not to countenance or would shield children from.

“Where the Wild Things Are” is a great kids’ book written in 1963. It is not about acceptance and inclusion. It’s about mastering emotions and trust in parental love and more:

I guess they twist the little boy wearing a wolf costume (perfectly innocent in 1963)* into something not so innocent. It’s fun to wear a costume —> drag queens wear costumes because it’s fun —> their costumes happen to be always grotesquely exaggerated feminine “characters” —> let’s talk about gender and pronouns.

So they start out with a good and healthy children’s book, a book no parent objects to, and use it as a lead-in to other not-so-healthy books, like Big Wig or The Hips on the Drag Queen Go Swish, Swish, Swish?

Seriously, seriously, warped. This is *not* what kids need!!! Confusing them, tugging on kids’ desires to to special, to be little stars. It’s a sick, sick progression from the beginning to end. Watch it. Your tax dollars at work.

*Kids love to monkey around in Halloween costumes or school play costumes in the weeks after Halloween or the play is over. Most kids think that’s what the main character in the book is doing. And it probably is.
