The stupid is strong with these liberals. PG&E and other utilities were diversified, but the PUC and politicians forced them to give up alternative sources of energy production such as geothermal and nuclear. Same goes for refineries, under lots of regulations that are undercutting their productivity.
In 5 or 10 years the liberals will be complaining that the 6500 or more products made from oil are all coming from China, because all our refineries are gone. We're importing steel that used to be made here; soon we'll be importing gasoline and diesel from elsewhere.
Considering America hasn’t built a new refinery she nce the seventies, and have lost a few over the years I’d say we’re in for hyperinflation for many years.

Somehow I bet that if giant corporations thought they could produce “clean energy” profitably. they would already be doing it.
Some have tried and failed miserably. Example: The Southern Company tried to create a “clean coal” power plant. After years of delays and literally billions in cost overruns they had to convert it to natural gas so it would, you know, “operate”.
Miss Venezuela wants to force companies to invest heavily in unprofitable adventures; it’s the government way.
That is my beef and argument. Lady this whole country has spent 50 years (say 1972) making the air cleaner, the water cleaner, and making energy burning machines cleaner. Water comes out the tailpipe and the power plant now. You come along now and act like it is 100 years ago (say 1922) when smoketacks, homes, trains and vehicbe blew smoke. It ain’t 1922 and what is the reasoning in throwing out all the work, tech, and investment to make all this better? Senseless. It is clean energy with deep infrastructure to make this country and its people succeed and prosper.
How about diversify to manufacture fertilizer in the US and stop implorting from Russia?

Seems to me the problem they are having is CO2. Since CO2 is in everything, how do they produce clean energy? All living things on Earth contain carbon. Even humans contain carbon. Lots of it. By mass, about 96 percent of our bodies are made of four key elements: oxygen (65 percent), carbon (18.5 percent), hydrogen (9.5 percent) and nitrogen (3.3 percent). These elements do not give color to fireworks, but they are found in our body’s most abundant and important molecules, including water, proteins and DNA. Must be the start of soylent green.

There is another way to attack this problem...prohibit the gov’t. from hiring people like Granholm with no practical ideas that are within the realm of their job.
In my mind, just further proof that all of what is occurring is intended, purposeful, and planned.
