On Wednesday’s broadcast of CNN’s “New Day,” Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm stated that the Biden administration wants oil and gas companies to increase production now, but also to “become diversified energy companies, to be able to produce other means of clean energy.”
Co-host John Berman asked, “Do you want five years from now, ten years from now, are you telling me you want them drilling for more oil, you want the refineries putting out more gasoline in five or ten years?”

The outcome was guaranteed once you realize that central planning takes their staff from central casting - the leaders are out of work pols employed in DC think tanks, and the "thinkers and doers" who do the hard "work" of putting the plans together are fully qualified for these jobs with masters degress in public policy or diplomacy out of places like Georgetown or Fletchers or the Wilson School or the Kennedy School.
All people who got their high positions while never having done a blessed practical thing in the world.
