She sued and won in a British court. Anyone can tell the most outrageous lie about a famous person and get away with it in the U.S. legal system.

She sued a British tabloid.. she filed in NY and was heard by a NY judge. She sued another in the US.

They can’t report anything just because ya don’t like her. It used to be almost impossible to stop a tabloid from printing lies.
Carol Burnett won a suit .. took a long time but she won.
