As soon as Putin dies or is otherwise removed from power, all of the Western corporations will be right back in Russia doing business as usual, and Europe will turn on the Natural Gas Pipelines from Mother Russia once again.

Doesn’t that depend on who succeeds Pootie? He just one hardliner in a collection of hardliners - all of whom want to restore the old Russian Empire (not Soviet Union). All the moderates are gone. Restoration means taking the Baltic States and Poland.

Maybe I am too optimistic, but I think about it like that. Whatever the evil f**k who follows Putin wants he is not as secure in power as Putin is (at least in the beginning).

He has to listen to other interest groups a bit more and the business groups are going to say how they’re starving.

Having lived and worked in mostly Moscow and Kiev for most of a decade, and having been significantly working on and with the Russian CCCP orb since 1987 and CIS since 1991, the vast majority of Russian and subordinate CIS member citizens today live within “versions” of the centrally controlled socialist governing apparatus which existed pre 1991 (and pre 1988).

Almost nothing is really as portrayed to the West. We can say the same of America, but the average citizen in Russia today has been significantly indoctrinated and shielded, and groomed throughout childhood, to believe and live in a “non-reality”.

Many terms used today in both Russia and the US do not mean the same at all. Agents at RIA Novosti (and others) are heavily involved in American “social media”, “blogs”, and mass media and press. They have historically been there, but are routinely involved on “conservative” sites as well, appearing to be socially conservative (this is their legitimacy key/Pass to all conservative sites), and using the historical illiteracy and ignorance of “what is” to develope what we have long referred to as the classic “group think/mob think” psychology.

Once the group/mob embraces their disinformation and groomed position, it cannot be undone. Precisely as Bezmenov layed out.

It isn’t the same for the larger ruling class, but the average person in the Russian Federation and CIS is fundamentally a dependent, with their life largely determined, or majority determined by the state. In practice, parents are caretakers of the states children (unless one is part of the significant ruling class).

Putin is a real force (with control of the world’s largest Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical stockpiles and related R&D programs in the world (partially funded by the US since 1991 I might add), and may well be the guy to really end up reducing Russia. However, RusFed and subordinate CIS system’s finance, economic, battle space, law, judiciary, police, and social apparatus/architecture is foundationally socialist and reciprocal, and subordinate ultimately to Moscow.

America has jumped headlong into a global socialist engkneered architecture, but we still have a little fight left in opposition, and our socialist totalitarian type architecture isn’t quite there... yet -

Bottom line, RUS socialist apparatus will remain after Putin is gone or replaced. Corporately, it is we in the West who have not followed the details, and therefore cannot discern “what is what”.

Conservatives in America today are largely “group think cannon fodder”.
