Big Oil is also being pressured by investors. Nobody in their right mind would think this green dream is better than oil, gas, coal and nuclear. It is a scam and a religion.
And that is in turn controlled by regluations and government polcies on an international scale. If there is money to be had "gong green," then the companies go green. The "oil" guys are big into alternative enery, too.
Tax policy can affect things. see write off for failed exploration. Get rid of that and see what happens.
