“Looks like the people of Alabama dodged a bullet when they dumped him.”

Agreed

We dodged one bullet and took another. Britt is GOPe poison. We NEVER have good choices in our AL elections. Britt carpet-bombed the airwaves and mailboxes with GOPe money. She is bought and paid for. . . .

Mo Brooks is a lawyer who has been in government since 1982. That's FORTY 'EFFING YEARS.

Anyone who thinks this guy was ever going to stand up and swim against the tide inside the Beltway as a U.S. Senator is delusional.

Congress is littered with Republicans who do their jobs as hard-core conservatives in safe districts where they effectively run unopposed, but then wilt in the limelight and come across as inept political players once they get out of their "down-home safe spaces."

Brooks doesn’t realize that he’s “over”.

Spill it all. They have NOTHING on Trump. If they had anything they would have used it long ago.

[Can’t believe Trump backed that twitt Katie Britt. He falls way to easily into line for young women. Brooks went to bat for him hard.]

Brooks is a lot like many losing candidates of whatever party - no energy. Trump hustled. He did campaign appearance after campaign appearance. He advertised. He schmoozed. He raised money. Brooks? Not so much. He ran as if a victory was divinely-ordained, as if he was destined to win.

That’s more or less the same thing that doomed Roy Moore who lost to Doug Jones. Elections mean getting a ton of face time with the public. Most of Alabama outside of his home district doesn’t know Mo Brooks. He needed to show the flag. Now that he’s lost, AL will never get to know him.

Now, he may have been going through some personal crisis. Problem is he was doing this in the middle of a high-stakes political campaign. Katie Britt outhustled him and that was all she wrote.

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/campaigns/rep-mo-brooks-gop-maga-conservative-pro-trump-alabama
[Brooks founded the House Freedom Caucus, a group of conservative insurgents and Trump loyalists in Congress who often pushed their GOP colleagues to embrace more uncompromising legislation. In that capacity, the congressman was at the forefront of many national issues to come before the House.

But the often-cantankerous Brooks seemed to view the nuts and bolts of politics with contempt.

He did not establish many relationships, did not seem to enjoy interacting with voters, and accumulated few resources. By the conclusion of the campaign, Britt had visited all 67 Alabama counties. Brooks had not. Meanwhile, he appeared to have a lot more to say about Trump, positive, negative, then positive again, then negative again, than he did about his solution for reducing skyrocketing inflation.

“The guy has an unhealthy relationship with Trump,” said a Republican strategist who opposed Brooks’s candidacy. “He trashes him, begs for forgiveness, gets back in his good graces, manages to fall back out of favor, then trashes him again.”

“He did not run a campaign,” added a veteran Republican consultant. “He did not raise money. He did not advertise. He just believed that Trump’s endorsement by itself would be all he needs. He’s just a complete goofball.”]

President Trump got over the Vote Fraud on 6 Jan 2021. Mo Brooks will never get over the voter fraud and neither will I.

Feds raided Jeffrey Clark’s private residence in northern Virginia just a little while ago… Breaking… This is the DOJ official that Pres Trump wanted to make Attorney General in the closing days because he could not apparently get traction with the other guys who are now about to testify under sworn oath within the hour.

[All I can say is a man that close to the president in the past and also close to his Congressional colleagues regarding their plans for January 6 or another related matters (particularly the ones who are reported now to have sought pardons), one had better hope that he isn’t pissed off wants revenge and flips and starts to spill the whole beans on all… It is not gonna be pretty for people. There in addition to the several month’s footage at the committee now has from the British journalist Alex Holden that they’re going through with a fine tooth comb.]

I confess to some reservations about Trump’s foibles. However, this kangaroo court is not the way to address whatever issues exist. And those issues are, IMHO, outweighed by the wringer they put his administration through for 4 years, in spite of the fact that Democrats are more inclined to be soft on Russia than Trump, who glad-handed Putin while sticking the knife in again and again.

That was incredible testimony just now under sworn oath also by all of those Republican officials of the DOJ, Many of the same meetings together and corroborating matters… And these guys on the other side ignoring subpoenas or pleading the Fifth 150 times… You can’t make this crap up And the list released just now of Congressman seeking pardons was eye-opening to. You never requested pardon less you’ve done something wrong

With the present regime and lawlessness, people would be well advised to have a get out of jail stationary stamp.

And the most powerful pol’s signature on it.
