He’s already doing it with inflation. Soon even the trains and public transportation won’t be able to afford to run.
Trains and mass transit are already unaffordable - incoming revenues don’t over the cost of the operations.
He’d be better off launching a 10 million bicycles (electric?) to replace 1 million cars ... the lefties living in cities would love it so they get another free handout and don’t have to drive their mini-Coopers in the city to avoid the graffiti covered, urine odored, criminal infested public transit that they demand everyone else ride ... except he ... um ... Xiden is not the best promoter of biking ...

How about bringing back the electric streetcars with the “ugly” overhead wires?
Here’s something from Johnny Carson: a lady asked a streetcar operator, if I were to touch both rails would I be electrocuted. He said no mam, you’d have to throw one of your legs over that wire up there.

There is a commuter train from Lebanon, TN to Nashville with about 5 tops in between. The problem is after you get to Nashville, if you don’t work downtown near the train stop, you have to take a bus to your workplace. The train has lost money from the first day and every ticket must be subsidized to keep it running.
