9 p.m. UPDATE: Police will be holding the scene overnight. The bomb squad is on scene and nearby homes and businesses are still evacuated.
Two suspects were killed in a brazen bank robbery Tuesday in Saanich, which also left six Greater Victoria Emergency Response Team (GVERT) officers with gunshot wounds after police and the suspects exchanged fire outside the bank.
In an update shortly before 6:30 p.m. police said they did not uncover any further indication of a potential third suspect and lifted a shelter-in-place advisory. The 3600-block of Shelbourne Street remained closed while emergency crews awaited the arrival of the RCMP bomb squad from the mainland due to a potential explosive device in a vehicle believed to be associated with the suspects.
It is also obvious that the Uvalde, TX police did not train these cops. They actually KILLED the robbers BEFORE anyone else was killed.
Of course, True-dolt will use this as an excuse to grab even more guns of legal owners.
Plus who would want to steal Canadian money?
The bills are made of plastic and their coins sound like aluminum when dropped on a table.
If one is not on a gold or silver standard.
It does not matter what the money if made of.
As long as some one will exchange it for goods.
What were their getaway plans? They robbed a bank on an ISLAND.
I think it’s sad that police rush to protect insured money, pieces of paper and coins, but will hold back when children are dying, being murdered they try to arrest the parents for trying to stop the carnage.

A few years ago I,while standing on the US side,had a short chat with an RCMP officer standing on the other.It was pretty cool.
Alarma TV showed inside a bank shoot out. One actor got shot in the neck and sprayed blood everywhere. That actor tried to then exit the bank and ran out of blood inside the revolving doors.
Can’t think of why I would ever see Canadian coins. Even if the US has to invade to liberate them from tyranny, everyone would use US money. :-)
Akwesasne is easy to smuggle coz it is on both sides of the border.They all got AR-15 & AK47’s them Mohawks is armed.
