If you’re a Hollywood elite facing the wrath of the diversity mob, a cool $4 million judiciously dispersed can buy you a lot of redemption.
Friends creator Marta Kauffman has atoned for the sitcom’s lack of diversity by pledging $4 million to her alma mater, Brandeis University, to establish an endowed professorship in the school’s African and African American studies department.
The result: glowing mainstream media coverage and social media feedback.
In a mea culpa with the Los Angeles Times, Marta Kauffman prostrated herself before the diversity police, saying she is “embarrassed” by the lack of minority characters in Friends.

Are some people really shocked to discover others do not hang out with people of different races? Do they deliberately seek out a “black friend” in order to gain woke cred? I could not care less that everyone in my life is lily white. Don’t feel like I’m missing a thing.
For some reason its morally wrong to have a show with white people only in it.

Friends without the laugh track- The worst show in television history.
Too bad Kauffman could never debase herself to the extent she debased American culture with her tripe. She harmed the American nation with her propaganda.
One has to wonder… if she diversified the cast back then would she have the 4 million to donate?
I think that’s where they stick black college athletes until they jump to the pros.

Ya, that would be a great show. Phoebes in an ally shooting up while Joey pimps out the other two girls. Chandler is in prison for sharing more than the Weekly WENIS with some kids. Ross is down at the university running a class on diversity and grifting the BLM students.

Irony abounds here - a Jew giving money to predominantly/historically Jewish university so they can offer a degree program that will attract some token descendants of former slaves so everybody can feel better about themselves. I wonder if I had that kind of money if I could convince a HBCU to establish a program for Western Civilization so they could increase the diversity of their student body. Somehow, I just don’t see that happening...
The creator of ‘Friends’ has quite a way to go. So keep yer checkbook out, pal. Because:
None of the six cast members were elderly.
None of them were handicapped.
None of them were Sikhs.
And I’m just getting started here.

Friends always had blacks as “authority” figures - lawyers, doctors, police, astrophysicists.
If Kaufmann apologizes to anyone, it should be Hispanics - There wasn’t one in the entire series!
