2020 saw Black voters and candidates alike turn out in droves. From Sen. Raphael Warnock’s (D) successful campaign in Georgia to Jaime Harrison’s unsuccessful Senate campaign in South Carolina, it seemed Black voters and candidates were lining up on the left.
But while the Democratic Party tends to have a lock on Black voters, that bloc is not a monolith. And Black Republicans are confident their ranks will continue growing ahead of the midterms and the 2024 presidential election.
“So many Black Americans have been raised in a conservative way,” said Paris Dennard, national spokesperson and director of Black media affairs for the Republican National Committee. “When you think about Black conservatism, that is being a strong family. That’s having a lot of faith, being able to work hard and have a strong and safe community.”
This year, Black voters’ support for Republican candidates rose to 27 percent, up from 12 percent in November, according to a March Wall Street Journal poll.
Meanwhile, Dennard said, the RNC tracked more than 160 Black Republicans who filed to run for office; of them, 120 are still running. There were more than 80 who filed to run in the House of Representatives.
“There’s no doubt that come November, the road to retiring [House Speaker] Nancy Pelosi is going to be paved with new Black Republicans coming to Congress,” Dennard said.
While the RNC remains neutral in primaries, Dennard mentioned there were several where Black Republicans are running that the RNC has been keeping an eye on over the past year, even in blue states such as Illinois and New York.

On many issues, you poll on the issue and not the party, blacks are overwhelmingly conservative - even more so than the general population in some cases. Breaking through the lies hey have been told for decades and is implanted in their culture is another matter, however.
There are, I believe, three black Republicans running for congress in AZ.
I just had a discussion with one of them.
He mentioned that many black men are flipping to the Republican party, but women are still hard cases, tied to the government by the Johnson’s welfare.
If the pubbies can get 10 to 15% of the black vote, they’d be in good shape.

I like Walt Blackman running in CD-2. According to 538 he has an 85% chance of flipping the district.
So... how exactly does this fit into your history
of kissing Rand Paul’s butt and being a total fanboi?
If so that is a change. Black EM’s and company grade officers that would talk about this in the Army were overwhelmingly paranoid racist in their mindset. The feds had to protect them or white men whould kill them. At the same time they often endorsed Farakhan Black Nationalist ideas.
Cooooooool.
I’m sure black republicans could outnumber black democrats in the black caucus if only enough whites would quit and support a black candidate. That would be fun to watch. Problem is it’s a gamble. That plus we’re not into Affirmative Action or tokenism.
Did senator Scott really get stopped by cops 6 times? Provable? The cops could disclose what they have and we could see if he’s telling the truth.
According to this gentlemen, this is changing!
Oh, I love Walt. I think he will be the next congressman from Az. Almost guarantee.
I talked to Jerone Davison.
He is running in District 4.
For once this is a swing district and there are several good candidates running. Some with more money!
So his chances are lesser than Walt.
But he is very powerful speakers and all over nice guy.
I think I will vote for him.

The reality never came close to matching the hype. Let's see what happens this time.
Poll: Trump Hits Record High Approval Rating with Black Voters Amid BLEXIT Launch
Glad to see blacks finally seeing the light.
In CT-5, there’s a great republican running. George Logan. He was a state senator in the Naugatuck Valley, a blue-collar area of Connecticut. The 5th is mostly small towns of Connecticut, from Ansonia to North Cannan, from Kent to Bristol.

Jerone looks pretty good too. Didn’t one of the GOP candidates drop out when Jerone announced he was running?
No,
Mat Salmon dropped out of the Governor race.
Jerone runs for congress CD4.
CD4 is now very competitive, but so there are Republicans running for it. Six altogether, all pretty good!
And then there is the incumbent Democrat to beat. Unlike Walt, Jerone has a lot of work to do.

I already know about Matt Salmon who now endorses Karin Taylor Robson. So he’s exposed as a RINO.
It is Alex Stovall, who according to Wikipedia in “secretly recorded conversations with Stovall dismissing his constituents and “flip-flopping” on statements he had made throughout his campaign were released”. He withdrew afterwards.
A problem with a lot of black candidates is that most can't seem to incorporate zeal for mainstream US's roots and system with zeal for addressing black folks' challenges and pride for African roots. It's completely possible to work for both together and it's a great alternative to the wokeism anti-American lunacy that the establishment has redirected so many Americans into.

Don’t count on it.
Soros money helps people make bad choices.
