Most of them are politically incoherent. When John Hinckley s apt was searched they found it littered with neo nazi and commie propaganda when in reality he tried to assassinate Pres Reagan because he had the hots for Jodie Foster, who turned out gay. Goes to show how stupid these psychos are.

But at the same time, there are plenty of people around here who are quite happy to make the identity and (assumed) motives of the suspect a political (even a partisan political) issue. Well, you play that game, you better be prepared to take the bitter with the sweet.
The push for "gun control" is indeed a political issue. But to otherwise seek some sort of partisan advantage in such a situation, by keying off fact-free assumptions attendant to the suspect's identity, is a fool's errand.
