Congress reintroduced the Civics Secures Democracy Act, a bill that creates a national curriculum in history and civics that federalizes teaching Critical Race Theory (CRT) and Action Civics in every K-12 classroom in America.
The lack of civics produces students who are ignorant about American history and government.
This has led to an explosion of “woke” college students opposed to free speech and the open exchange of ideas, who support disinviting speakers they don’t agree with, and who use violence to silence them.
The misleadingly named Civics Secures Democracy Act has everything to do with the federal government’s plan to force Critical Race Theory on the states.
Last year Biden announced a plan to indoctrinate children into anti-white racism using the 1619 Project, CRT, and anti-racism teachings of critical race Theorist Ibram X. Kendi as a model.
Kendi teaches that the only cure for racism is anti-white racism.
Biden’s Dept of Ed. released rules that established a system where grants were for “projects that incorporate racially, ethnically, culturally, and linguistically diverse perspectives.”
The rule cited the NY Times’ ‘landmark’ 1619 Project and the work of Kendi as examples.
In this day of ignorance about American history, most people line up behind the party they agree with.
This is why those on the far-left are in the Biden/Democrat camp where parents are classified as domestic terrorists for opposing the teaching of CRT and Marxism in public schools.
CRT served as the motivation behind the death and destruction during the summer’s riots in 2020. It’s also serves as the fuel behind the government-sanctioned, taxpayer-financed, anti-white racism reparations movement.
Critical Race Theory rewrites history to paint a picture of America rooted in race-based slavery and oppression, and where capitalism needs to be replaced with Marxism in order to create “a more just economy.”

Time to eliminate the Department of Education and get the feds out of the schools!
Even so - this is straight out of Obama’s playbook for this country.
Time to move DC to Antarctica.
Federal indoctrination - HOMESCHOOL!
PS homeschooled my kids; daughter is homeschooling her four.
“Even so - this is straight out of Obama’s playbook for this country.”
Obama had a playbook but he didn’t write it.
So criticizing CRT will be a federal offense?
It is time for Separation of School and State.

I don’t understand why parents allow CRT in schools. I would think it would be easy enough to discourage educators from even bringing it up.
Their views and opinions vary greatly at times, but they are verifiably their own. They know to never listen to the media. They do their own searching.
Crony Republicans, also known as “deal makers.”
Like to get the SCOTUS opinion on this ‘stuff’.
“I don’t understand why parents allow CRT in schools. I would think it would be easy enough to discourage educators from even bringing it up.”

We go to school board meetings every month. It’s not easy for parents to get what they want.
A lot of parents have been going to school boards to talk about it.
That’s why they’ve been labeled terrorists by the FBI.
I agree with that 100 percent.
Education needs to be local ie each state.
Carter created this mess
CRT in a sentence: All whites are racists from the minute they are born.
And that’s why Dems want abortions unrestricted even after birth!
...it looks to me like there’s so much insanity and stupidity on both sides of this issue that there’s absolutely no hope that sensible people can prevail.
I’m as certain as I can be that people who think they’re promoting Critical Race Theory are trying to indoctrinate our kids with divisive, hurtful ideas they can’t prove or even reasonably show.
But I’m equally certain that those who oppose CRT are trying to pretend that racism is an issue from the past.
It’s not. This is a deeply racist country, not just on the right, but on the left and in the middle too. We are all victims of racism. None of us chose it; it chose us. It’s like falling in love. You don’t make that decision yourself, it’s something that happens to you.
In that sense, we’re morally guiltless. But that doesn’t mean we should maintain, or teach our kids, that racism is dead and gone. It’s not. It has real effects, big effects, on our lives today.
What we should do about it is a different question. But we certainly should know, and teach our kids, that racism is a powerful reality in our world today, and we don’t know what to do about it. If there were a way of getting to that outcome, I’d be all for it. I don’t think there is.
School Choice...
Parents receive a voucher for the same amount of money public schools spend per child - parents choose where their child will be educated.
End the Public School Experiment - it’s failed...
