Florida Rejects 41 Percent of Submitted Math Textbooks Because They Contain CRT, Common Core, and Social Emotional Learning

In a major announcement, the Florida Department of Education said they have rejected 41% of proposed K-12 mathematics books intended for use during the 2022-2023 public school year. These books did not meet state academic standards due to their apparent inclusion of Critical Race Theory principles and other controversial approaches to education.

The statement from Florida’s Department of Education reads: “Reasons for rejecting textbooks included references to Critical Race Theory (CRT), inclusions of Common Core, and the unsolicited addition of Social Emotional Learning (SEL) in mathematics.”

“The highest number of books rejected were for grade levels K-5, where an alarming 71 percent were not appropriately aligned with Florida standards or included prohibited topics and unsolicited strategies,” Florida’s D.O.E. added.

“It seems that some publishers attempted to slap a coat of paint on an old house built on the foundation of Common Core, and indoctrinating concepts like race essentialism, especially, bizarrely, for elementary school students,” Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) said in a statement.

Good, keep the propaganda and politics out of science and math and all students.

I knew it was bad but 41% leftist propaganda? I welcome what Florida is doing. The obvious next step is to expose the people responsible and personalize it.

Text: If there are twenty-five white racists out of a hundred, what percentage of the total is that: 25%, or 100% because all whites are systemic racists.

Looks okay.😇

As a substitute teacher in Arkansas, I saw much of the same in the history and textbooks in the high schools. The left has infiltrated most of our educational institutions almost entirely.

The textbook companies are just about now deeply regretting hiring purple-haired nose-ringers with degrees in “gender studies” and CRT, to create their content.

It would be nice to see some examples of this so that others can look for the pattern in their school districts.

This is purely hypothetical but the math could read like this:

60% of minority students require subsidized food assistance through the government school lunch program. If an additional 40% is claimed through criteria manipulation by the school district, how many students out of 100 will get a free lunch?

Hint: This happened regularly at my high school

Most of the country's textbooks come from 2 states Texas and California. Same textbooks, titles and publishers but different accounts of history in each. The article is from NPR and of course chastises the textbooks from Texas.

If Trayvon steals 10 dime bags of crack from Shitavius, and sells them for $5 each, how much money will Daquan profit when he robs Trayvon?

If there is a George Soros-bought and paid for DA, how much of the customary $100,000 bail will Daquan not have to pay when he is unjustly arrested based on the racial profiling of racist white pig cops?

If Shaquanda turns five tricks a night for $100 each, how much money will her pimp D’Angelo make in a weekend?

Only 41% rejected? I would have thought the percentage of math textbooks advocating socialism/communism/CRT would be approaching 100%.

This is how we turn back the relentless Leftist agenda to destroy our country. Normal people simply need to stand up to it and stop being so meek and polite.

We need more leaders like DeSantis.
