The pipeline has been underway for years.
A freeper above posted a map. The number 4 on that map is the big Sakhalin field offshore Kamchatka. It will source gas into China and not incidentally, to S. Korea too, a big consumer.
And Japan.
The map doesn’t show the big facilities up north at the Kara Sea. Big gas source, but to date it ships via LNG terminal there.
Note this is generally NOT fracked gas. It lasts longer with natural permeability on each well and is thus superior.
This was part of the US$400 billion plan signed between China and Russia some years ago to incrase natural gas sales to China. Which is really important because China needs to aggressively move away from coal-fired power plants to clear up the dirty air over China’s major population centers.

We are not. So, the childish admonition “...pick up a gun and go fight in Ukraine” is not only silly, it is ignorant. When America is directly threatened, you will see old codgers such as me come out of the woodwork to defend our hearths and homes. Maybe you will leave that defense to your betters.

On a more serious point, China is importing more nat gas from Turkmenistan than from RuZZia. Power of Siberia has been a money loser for RuZZia so far.
