A man armed with what looked like an assault rifle was no match for the owner of a Riverside County convenience store, and the frightening face off was all caught on the store's security cameras. "It's not his first rodeo," said a woman named Marnie, who works for the store's owner, 80-year-old Craig Cope. "He saw on the surveillance, he saw them coming out of the vehicle with weapons."

Many years ago I read an article in one of the outdoorsy magazines about a safari guide who led hunts for jaguars. It was his job to back up the touristy shooter and make sure that the jaguar got dead and not his client (if the client missed his shot). His choice....shotgun with No. 1 buck.
The store already has bars on the windows, and cops warned about increase of armed robberies in that area. I can imagine its probably a tough business already.
I also expect the 4 thugs will hardly spend anytime in jail. Its Cali, after all.
Kudos to the man for standing up, protecting his livelihood and defending his property.
The thugs should be breaking rocks on a chain gang to support those who've already worked a lifetime paying taxes into the system.
