I've seen a documentary on that case.Among other despicable aspects is that he's on film openly lusting after the daughters he wound up killing. And it was obvious that they knew it was wrong but they couldn't do anything to stop him.

Can you imagine the evil it takes to kill your children because they are dating, or even talking to, someone who has a different religion or race than you?
(My dad pulled his shotgun on a few guys during his household full-of-daughters’ dating years, but that had nothing to do with religion — although there might have been a lot of praying going on at the time).

The mother kept going back, even after accusing her husband of sexually abusing the girls. Whether he did or not, that woman wasn’t right in the head.
No, I don’t have any idea what it’s like to fear my husband is going to kill me or to be torn between losing a son and saving my daughters.
But I think the healthy response is far, far away, in a state where you can carry a gun.
