I would hope, but a lot of people will die in that scenario. The more likely event will be they assassinate him.
I just do not see our side in either case really doing much of anything other than a few nut jobs and lone wolf weirdos.

FJB would emerge from where ever he’s hidden and condemn the ugly national mood that is solely Trump and his supporters’ fault. He will ask Congress to pass emergency legislation postponing 2022 elections. It will pass with no Republican votes in the House or Senate with Kamala cackling as she casts the tie-breaking vote.
