Biden’s Inflation Bill Made $7,500 Electric Vehicle Tax Credits. Ford And GM Just Raised Their Prices By The Same Amount.

As the Democrats force Americans to go green, automakers are going even greener. Ford and General Motors unveiled price increases for their electric vehicle lineups as the Inflation Reduction Act — which includes electric vehicle tax credits — is slated to become law.

Citing “significant material cost increases and other factors,” Ford’s announcement revealed price hikes between $6,000 and $8,500 for its electric vehicles. The F-150 Lightning Pro, for example, will sell for $46,974 — a $7,000 increase from the $39,947 charged for last year’s model. GM likewise increased the cost of its electric Hummer by $6,250 last month.

The price hikes are comparable to the $7,500 tax credits for new electric vehicles included in the $740 billion Inflation Reduction Act

Maybe the FBI should raid the homes of Ford and GM executives. Seize all document boxes related to this price increase!

Oh, and don’t forget to raid the homes of other car company executives too. Toyota, Chrysler, etc. Round up all the usual suspects!

Yes, the skyrocketing college tuitions was directly driven by the "E-Z loans" the government handed out to millions of kids who would have been better off learning a trade. Instead, they are pouring $5 coffee drinks at Starbucks with no other marketable skills while wondering how they got themselves into five and even six figure debts.

Point of comparison: I participated in the VEAP program when I joined the Marines in 1979. When I got discharged, I had $8,100 to use for college. Back then, it was more than enough for four years of tuition at most colleges.

My dentist when I was in my twenties raised his prices to me every time the auto workers’ unions got better contracts for dental care. I said “But I didn’t get any raise and I don’t even have a dental plan and am not in a union.” “Sorry but I get to raise my profits if the auto guys get more and I can’t give preferential lower costs to you because it would be found out.”

Footnote: I am still bitter. Including about the Trump stuff and a lot more. Bitter........

Dan Bongino repeated lately if the Fed “helps” with drug costs they will go up, the supplies will be scarce and the prices will go up again. Lower cost price controls will mean the companies won’t have a reason to keep supplying the full amounts of drugs for not much money.

This bill will damage the so-called “green energy” market by keeping it from potentially reaching economies of scale and settling into being an affordable good for people to consider purchasing.

If you pay say $2500 in federal taxes then that would be your maximum rebate. People are too conned to even think of that.

Poorer people get the smallest rebate right on down to possibly zero rebate.
