“Climate change” is a hoax and a farce, but is being weaponized to project an aura of power.
No matter the amount of money is shoved at “mitigating” this hoax, the parameters will not change, except the nation and the world LOSE wealth to effectively allow humanity to adapt to whatever conditions are changing.
Despite endless propaganda to the contrary, nobody wants dirty air or impure water, these are the result of shortcuts taken when the funds to alleviate those conditions are reduced or cut off completely. Privately raised capital can and does accomplish these objectives, of cleaning up the environment MUCH better than ANY government-sponsored program or dictate.
The free market works, every time it is tried. But the busybodies of the nanny state are shocked that anybody would expect to make a PROFIT by exercising the duties and responsibilities of keeping the market free.
