Possibly single men?

This is a confession, not bragging. When I was 20 years old and single I was having affairs with two married women at the same time, each about 5 years older than me.
Not that I dwell on it but I have regretted it for the last 55 years.

1. Were those two married women simply having a fling (from their point of view)? That is: Were they just "having fun?" Or were they trying to "secure" you (i.e., entice you into a long-term, committed relationship - possibly marriage)?
2. Did you know the husbands? Did the women explain that their husbands were, e.g., cruel and/or neglectful, (themselves) unfaithful reprobates and/or drunkards, etc.? In other words: Did they ever attempt to "justify" their behavior? Or was it clear that they were just "looking for adventure?"
3. Under what circumstances did the affairs end? Jealous husbands slowly got wise and/or wives got spooked? Or did they ultimately reconcile with their spouses? Or did you end the affairs? If so: Why? Too much drama? Find a third, better girl?
