Weaponized Government Failure is similar to The Curley Effect: Using Redistributive Politics to Shape a Left-Wing Electorate

I heard the Mayor of Boston is no picnic.

Michelle Wu is a piece of work. One of the local talk show hosts, in his best three stooges voice, calls her Michelle Wuwuwuwuwu.

Weaponized Governmental Failure, or WGF

This is the best explanation I have read. It makes sense.

The answer, at the state level, is to refuse to subsidize city welfare systems, so that they HAVE TO attract taxpayers.

Man is she fugly!
The Democrat party is the clown party. These clowns can be stupid or evil or both.

Some of the evil ones can be very clever and smart.

People look into their toilets, and vote for what they see. Alas, Mayor Latoya!

Curley Effect

James Michael Curley, a four-time mayor of Boston, used wasteful redistribution to his poor Irish constituents and incendiary rhetoric to encourage richer citizens to emigrate from Boston, thereby shaping the electorate in his favor.

If they were capable of learning from their past mistakes they’d quit doing drugs, robbing local stores, and having babies out of wedlock starting in their teens.

The seeds for “weaponized government failure” in cities were sown back in the 1950s with the establishment of the Interstate Highway System. The migration of middle-class families to the suburbs resulted in a political-cultural-economic landscape that was unprecedented in human history and would inevitably lead to all kinds of problems: people working to earn a living in jurisdictions where they don’t live and vote.

It should be obvious why this is such a recipe for dysfunction and failure. New York City, for example, is a sh!t-hole today for two basic reasons: (1) the NYPD precinct captain who commutes from Long Island and the Wall Street banker who commutes from Westchester don’t vote in NYC municipal elections, and (2) the third-generation welfare recipient living in a city housing project does.

It’s really that simple.
