The latest smear on Trump: He can’t find a respectable lawyer to defend him
American Thinker ^ | August 24, 2022 | Richard McDonough

The latest smear of Donald Trump being fabricated by many on the Left is that he cannot find any respectable lawyer to represent him. Salon.com trumpets that:

All the respectable lawyers are] saying ‘No’ [so that] Trump is driven to hire a Florida insurance lawyer … The most visible Trump attorney has been Christina Bobb. … [whose] federal legal experience is largely limited to a handful of trademark infringement cases on behalf of CrossFit. … Trump's Florida-based lawyer is Lindsey Halligan, an insurance lawyer that handles residential and commercial claims but has never handled a federal case. … Trump's attorney in the document’s investigation is Alina Habba, who … previously worked as general counsel at a parking garage company.

Salon even gleefully quotes disbarred felon Michael Cohen, presumably because of his impeccable moral reputation: "In olden days, [Trump] would tell firms representing him was a benefit because they could advertise off it. Today it's not the same" because "He's a very difficult client” who “wants you to do things that are not appropriate, ethically or legally." Recall that many on the Left were thrilled when Cohen turned on Trump because “he knew where all the bodies were buried.” Unfortunately, Cohen failed to dig up any bodies.

Typical disgusting move by the left, leave your opponent without constitutionally required defense. They've done this multiple times.

They care nothing about the Constitution.

They care nothing about the Constitution.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
They proved that with the ineligible Kenyan from Indonesia.
Until then I thought Republicans cared about the Constitution.
LOL, well the Democrats have no problem there.
They don’t seek respectable lawyers.
And this is the final bridge too far for the Left and the Deep State.
"We'll destroy your life, your family and your friends if we decide we don't like you."
At that point, it becomes the riddle of the Gordian Knot.
They've told the lawyers that their lives will be destroyed if they work for Immanuel Trump.
We're next.
Time to go Nathan Bedford Forrest on the Soros trash.
This is the way it works in the BigLaw firms - you are an associate attorney and you have a small chance of becoming partner. You volunteer on the side for Trump or the local R party. You may be very talented but this will irritate senior lawyers who are part of the globalist establishment plus these law firms are all now global firms with offices in multiple countries with no other ties to the US. There can be subtle pressure not to represent someone they don’t like (this from major corporate law firms who would applaud the “courage” of one of their lawyers representing Charles Manson, pro bono) or all of a sudden, you are called on the carpet for “not performing up to expectations”. There really is no way to fight back, it won’t irritate most of their corporate clients who pay them millions (Disney, WalMart, etc) and will be glad to be rid of you. You’ve got massive debts (at least you did until Senile passed your debt onto plumbing companies and their employees in Ohio), and a nice lifestyle; a few will act on principle but very few.
Maybe it has more to do with the FBI & DOJ continually stealing privileged information from Trumps existing attorneys.
More than likely true. Become Trump's attorney and you become a major target for destruction. And screw attorney/client privilege.
It’s like unicorn hunting.
As I predicted years ago, the Democrat/RINO MSM will continue reporting stuff like that 24/7/365, straight through the 2022 & 2024 elections ........ unless President Trump and every member of his family publicly promise to never run for any political office ever again.
If you are a criminal defense lawyer, you had better not be too picky about your clients. If they can pay, off to the courthouse you should go.
Medical services are 100% NOT government-created, yet it is determined we have a "right" to such service without regard to the ability to pay.
The legal system is a 100% creation of the government.
Yet we cannot access it without a lawyer and only if we up-front the money. They may also turn us down for their services, unlike the random cupcake baker.
WTF is going on here!?!
“disbarred felon Michael Cohen”
To find a better lawyer, Trump would have to open up the Yellow Pages.
Let’s face it, every lawyer hired by Trump is automatically targeted in an attempt to ruin their career. So, I’m sure many lawyers don’t want to represent him.
Know someone who is a Constitutional attorney. Worked on one of the big cases just heard by the USSC. They won. As soon as the opinion came down, they were fired from their big law firm because the other clients didn’t want to do business with the firm while the constitutional attorneys were still employed because they disagreed with the USSC decision. Yes. That’s how it works. Soros and Obama set it up that way.
Or you can have a court appointed criminal defense attorney like the J6 defendants who hate you and don’t lift a finger to represent you properly. Yep. The system is rigged. That is why 95% of trial attorneys are Democrats and the Trial Lawyers Association are huge financial supporters of Dems. They help rig the system for them.
Lawyers for Trump were being attacked by David Brock and his group of leftists who seek to destroy their careers if they defend Trump. They make complaints to the various state bars and generally lie. This is denying a right for counsel.
