Remember that the irs is notified every time $700 is moved on any bank accounts
Its 700 now? I’m thinking they are going to enforce the $600 1099 rule. Its very convenient that they can track the $700 plus transactions.
Certain groups will not see increased audit rates. However audits will be more targeted, say towards people who post on unapproved conservative websites.
It will be interesting to learn some day the amount of increased revenue realized directly from the increased audits compared to the for sure gigantic increased cost of enforcement. Projections of taxes that people might voluntarily pay due to increased fear of being audits doesn’t count.
Here’s an idea: What if conservatives all applied for the new IRS jobs? We could audit Democrats and other communists only, after spending half of each day at a nice shooting range burning “free” ammo.
I don’t care, my return is lengthy but everything is straightforward and documented.
Yep …. Buy a couch, be tracked
much higher if you have purchased a MAGA hat
wouldnt that mean every bank account?
who doesnt have a 700 or more bill to pay each month?
do you think a conservative would survive the hiring process?
Yep
Mine too BUT... To Quote Beria of the USSR NKVD... "Show me the man and I'll show you the crime!" The IRS code has countless "exceptions" and "assumptions" when maliciously applied!
I love it when dipshites take a complicated tax system and make it even more compicated...
Same here. Mine is simple enough and honest. But I am also making the assumption they will apply rules honestly. It’s that part that I lack confidence.

An old post, but as far as I know, no one has ever gotten to me bottom of this.

And on the flip side, IRS agents face up to 4 times more violence.
Just keep pushing mfers. Rue the day.
