On Friday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “All In,” host Chris Hayes responded to the criticism of President Joe Biden’s student loan cancellation plan that the plan forces people to pay for other people’s loans by stating that “No one is paying” off loans because the plan is “deficit-financed, like a lot of stuff we’ve done.”
Hayes played a clip of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) that the plan isn’t fair to taxpayers who didn’t take out loans or didn’t go to college to make them pay for student loans

What is deficit financing? A deficit is a lack—how do you finance something with nothing?
When it's "deficit financed", then new money is "printed" to pay for it.
Printing money dilutes the worth of everyone else's money - savers hardest hit. In other words: Inflation.
Old folks who thought they had enough saved to get them through the years when they could no longer compete in the job market pay dearly. They scrimp and struggle to make ends meet. They thought they had a secure position in society, but the politicians have votes to buy, and need to give those hapless savers a haircut on their dollars to do so. Security in Society? Nope, that's only for the party apparatchiks, as they steal everyone else's social security.
Inflation is calculated theft. Constant deficits are intentional pilfering of savers money and everyone else's buying power, shaving off a bit of it with every addition to the debt. Savers aren't supposed to notice it enough to complain. But in times like these, they notice.
Something tells me that I can see Biden sending off more US soldiers to war, all in the name of “adjusting” the US deficit. These dumb progressive liberal socialists think they’re getting a free ride with a swipe of his magic pen.
