Trump was promoting more and more natural gas production via fracking and other means. If Trump were president right now, we would have more than enough excess natgas to sell to Europe via LNG tankers. Though we need to build more LNG export facilities.
Due Putin’s war and our current to inability to export much, Natural gas in Europe is about 6x more expensive than in the USA

Well, it’s too early to say for sure how this counteroffensive will turn out… it’s the first day and the Ukrainians are saying it’s currently conducting “shaping” operations. Maybe but it’s clear already that the Ukrainians conduct offensive operations very differently from the way the Russians have conducted theirs. The Russians relentlessly pound their objectives with artillery until the defenders are weak and demoralized and only then attack on the ground. That way there is minimum loss of Russian lives and limbs but a huge loss of Ukrainian defenders. The Ukrainians apparently are conducting their ground assault after only minimum artillery softening up. The result is that the Ukrainian grunts suffer huge, UNNECESSARY losses and apparently the Ukrainian leadership is OK with that. The Ukrainian “leadership” needs to remember that loyalty is a two-way street. The grunts will remember their treatment.
