A top FBI agent at the Washington field office reportedly resigned from his post last week after facing intense scrutiny over allegations he helped shield Hunter Biden from criminal investigations into his laptop and business dealings.
Timothy Thibault, an FBI assistant special agent in charge, was allegedly forced out after he was accused of political bias in his handling of probes involving President Biden’s son, sources told the Washington Times on Monday.
The agent was escorted out of the field office by at least two “headquarters-looking types” last Friday, the sources said

Does it really matter? That is all that will happen to him. He'll get the "clinesmith" treatment and get a slap on the wrist.
Perhaps he's a multipurpose scapegoat.

What’s going on? First the Zuckerberg Confession and now this guy kicked out? Something nefarious is happening here! And I can only tell you coming from the swamp it ain’t good! What the heck are they up to?
Either way, it’s interesting that ANYTHING is happening in this story. While not close to the way it should have been dealt with, it’s amazing to me and there must have been pressure on this agent from someone(s).
When will CNN show up at his house as FBI serves search warrant and frog march his wife and 3 kids out to the street?
Get him under oath once the GOP takes the House and/or Senate.
not sure what we are seeing with these resignations and escorted off the premises stories at the FBI but one thing I do know, the Democrats don’t give in. They don’t give up, they never admit guilt, they don’t let go of power. Something else is up.

Agent Thibault’s exit is at a minimum a tacit admission that the FBI was politically biased, when they suppressed news of Hunter’s laptop. While this fact is unrelated to the Mara Lago raid, it will nonetheless make it politically harder for the DOJ to claim no bias if they choose to indict President Trump.
Let’s call this a modified limited hangout
