Piled before the tyrant is a feast of kingly proportions, like a Thanksgiving Day feast flowing across his dinner table. You sit quietly without access to the table, but in your hands you do hold a little crust of bread. This is all you have and you cradle it carefully because it must be made to last. And even though the tyrant’s belly is full and he has more than he could possibly ever eat in a lifetime, all he can think about is YOUR little crust.
All he wonders about day and night is why you have that crust when it should be his. He grinds his teeth frothing in desperation for your meager meal. Then one day he decides he will not stop until your bread crust is in his hands while you starve. This is now his mission in life – To take your crust and crumbs and leave you with nothing. Any other outcome would be unimaginable.
He not only wants to steal your crust, but he wants to see your despair when he does it. He wants you to know he has your last meal, and he wants to see the pain in your face when he takes it away. Then, he wants you act like you love him for it.

This article explains that totalitarian monsters, whatever position of leadership they may hold, just do not seem to stop inflicting pain on others.
The "stupidity" of the policies are not a mistake. They are not intended to help out the population. They are designed to make you hurt.
Why?
Because they like it when you hurt. They like to see people in pain. They like to see people begging on the exits of the interstates.
They want you to have to eat bugs, own nothing, and they don't want you to be happy. They want you to worship them. Not God. Them.
If anyone here has come across such a person, whether a boss, a coworker, a politician, etc. you will see that it makes sense.
These people deserve no power or respect at all.

Particularly good description of Stalin and it seems, Fidel Castro as well.
Mao seemed to a man capable of incredible self delusion. When the irrefutable evidence that the ‘Great Leap Forward’ (which I have to say was fervently believed in by many ‘intellectuals’, especially in Europe) was the Great Famine Holocaust, his response along the lines of ‘Why was I not informed sooner’.
It’s not quite true that they like to see people hurt, they like to see people hurting so they can step in and “help” them.
Their self-image is wrapped up in being wiser and more compassionate than everyone else.
They adopt policies that are designed to create dependency, so they can act magnanimous.
Munchausen syndrome by proxy.
We live in a time in the U.S. when constitutional rights are routinely ignored. Elites see constitutional rights not as rights but as things to be cleverly finessed such that they offer no real protection against the encroachment of the government, e.g., election fraud complaints were dismissed by courts for a lack of “standing”, but the substance of those complaints was never adjudicated. People need to wake up and see we are being ruined by an army of petty tyrants in our government.
When it comes to sociopaths, serial killers are pikers. The real successful ones become politicians.
They like to see people struggling. Makes them feel more powerful.
Victor Davis Hanson has been doing a great job analyzing why the ultra rich (Bezos, Gates, Zuckerberg, etc) with wealth at a never-before seen scale adopt causes destructive to all the little people, to freedom and to civilization itself. His podcast this week "Strange Bedfellows of the Left" is worth listening. Start listening at the 3:00 mark.
VDH's recent column "How and Why Did Democrats Become Revolutionaries?"...
"Prices to them (the wealthy) became irrelevant. Appetites of the blessed rich became overwhelmed. They became bored with jets, mansions, megayachts, exotic vacations and fleets of luxury cars. And in their boredom and in their exemption from daily necessity and in their segregation from lesser humanity and in their material sensuality and ever-growing apetites they became both guilty and atheist."From the podcast...
"So they developed another creed and that was humanitarianism or humanism. The idea that humans are all that is and that because of their great wealth, they couldn't satisfy all their appetites."In the podcast, he discusses why these ultra-rich never do the things they insist and instruct all of us to do. In other words, why they become tyrants.
They like to see people being grateful for their “help”, and are outraged that there are people who don’t see the inherent wisdom in whatever nonsense idea they’ve come up with.
