The IRS official chosen to lead the new "centralized office" featuring the nearly 87,000 new employees funded in President Biden's Inflation Reduction Act was involved in the agency's targeting of conservative groups that opposed Barack Obama's reelection in 2012.
IRS official Nikole Flax
Nikole Flax served as the chief of staff for then acting IRS Commissioner Stephen Miller, who was fired amid a cover-up of the scandal. When Republican lawmakers sought communications related to the scandal in an investigation, Flax's emails were among those the agency claimed were lost in a computer hard-drive crash. The IRS, the lawmakers charged, was attempting to "cover up the fact that it conveniently lost key documents in the investigation."
On Friday, as the Daily Signal reported, IRS Commissioner Charles Rettig said in an email to employees that the agency will establish a "new, centralized office" to implement elements of the bill, including the nearly 87,000 new IRS agents. The partisan bill, signed without a Republican vote, provides $80 billion to the IRS, mostly to pay for the new agents through 2031.
In the email, Rettig said Flax, the deputy commissioner in charge of the Large Business & International Division, will lead the establishment of the centralized office.
"We have a unique, once-in-a-generation opportunity to transform the IRS in a way to help taxpayers and fundamentally improve our tax administration work that is vital to the success of our country," Flax said in the memo from Rettig. "This is an exciting opportunity, and we will be moving quickly with our work."

Is this a Senate confirmed position?
I can’t find anything on this person’s background. Where she’s from...nothing. Just that she worked with someone with the Obama administration when she was fired.
Just that she worked with someone with the Obama administration who was fired....I meant.

Does she believe in the Flax Tax?
The ONLY solution is for people to turn back to God, study His Word (Bible) and help others to do the same in order to overcome evil with good. VERY few people have any interest in being faithful to God and following His will about how to live (You can NOT tell me what to do attitude). As a result, evil is rushing into that vacuum so fast it will set your hair on fire. Folks posting here about how shocking something will be to you refuse to give up drinking alcohol which is harmful to the body, relationships and about everything else. No one is going to tell them to stop gossiping. No one is going to get a word in edgewise about not being corrupt when they perceive it is to their benefit, ad nauseum. We all want everyone else to follow OUR moral standard even though we do not hardly have one ourselves.
Since there no longer exists much of a moral standard in this country for hardly anyone to have the will to resist the evil happening, we get the kind of government we deserve. In our history, so many Americans sacrificed THEMSELVES to stop evil, but not any more. So, anyone posting this stuff is just trying to manipulate someone ELSE into doing something about it instead of the author or poster himself/herself. Not going to play. Thanks.
THIS post is stupid? What are you doing on this forum? You could be studying the Bible, or praying or whatever. So rambling on about what we should be doing instead of posting on freep is self-contradictory.
As for liquor, it’s an important part of my religion at least, and in moderation it’s healthy and a remedy to depression. If you had been reading Psalm 104 instead of freeping, you would know that. “Wine rejoiceth the heart of man.” There is a happy medium between tea totaling and habitual debauchery. I’ll drink to that.
But as for me, my blood boils even harder, because the “almost no one” having the backbone to do anything about it includes you.
