Bill Gates Lobbied Manchin for Inflation Bill That Benefits His Green Investment Fund
Sultan Knish ^ | 31 Aug 2022 | Daniel Greenfield

...While Americans have little to cheer about a government program handing out money to its allies and donors, not to mention Tesla owners and the Bay Area elite, Bill Gates is happy.

“Everybody wants to be part of this,” Carmichael Roberts, the head of Bill Gates's green energy investment fund, gushed. “The calls that I’m getting now — tremendous, already."

Gates was described as having personally lobbied Senator Manchin and Schumer in "anticipation of a rare moment in which significant federal dollars might be secured for the clean-energy transition." Billions of those dollars, ripped out of the hands of truck drivers, veterans and small businessmen, will have been “secured” for Gates and his ventures...

Of course he did. And the oligarchs must be served, no matter how insane their fantasies may be.

He learned that strategy from his buddy Buffet. Invest in a business and then bribe the congress to make favorable laws for you.

At least, we can all take comfort in the fact that though Bill Gates is a billionaire, he still can't get a girlfriend.

If most guys had to choose, they wouldn't choose to be Gates.

I’m shocked, SHOCKED I tell you, that billionaires are lobbying for tax money from truck drivers.

Round up the usual suspects.

I had thought Bill Gates was trying to GIVE AWAY his huge fortune. But going out and continuing to compound it? What’s up with with that?

Fact: The Feral government could seize every penny of all the fortunes of every billionaire, and not be able to run the country for more than a few months or even weeks, before they shall have blown through it all. And that crop could only be harvested once.

Same if they seized the total value of wealth from any of the middle class and workers making LESS than $400,000, all the way down to $50,000/year. Again, that crop could only be harvested once.

By then, the goose that lays the golden eggs will be dead and butchered. Makes for a scanty feast.

Overseeing the Department of Energy’s loan program is Jigar Shah: the founder of SunEdison.

SunEdison was one of the biggest of Obama’s subsidized green energy bankruptcies, receiving $1.5 billion in government grants and subsidies. While Solyndra’s bankruptcy, after receiving a $535 million loan from the Obama administration, is infamous, there were quite a few disasters.
_______
_______

Bankruptcy
Following years of major expansion and the announcement of the intent – which eventually fell through – to acquire the residential-rooftop solar company Vivint Solar in 2015, SunEdison’s stock plummeted and its more than $11 billion in debt caused it to face bankruptcy in April 2016.[110][111][112][113][114] It filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on April 21, 2016.[115][116] To continue its operations and pay staff, the company received $300 million in bankruptcy debt financing.[117] It continued operations during bankruptcy.[118][119] The debt financing money came from first-lien and second-lien lenders. The bankruptcy court approved the money.[120]

When it filed for bankruptcy, the company asked the court for an independent examiner to audit the company’s recent financial transactions. SunEdison requested that the examiner’s work start immediately and finish within 60 days, and that the maximum budget be $1 million. Reuters noted that, comparatively, the 2015 independent examination in the bankruptcy of Caesars Entertainment Corp. took one year and cost $40 million.[120]

During the summer of 2015, SunEdison was worth almost $10 billion,[121] and in July 2015 shares traded upward of $33.44.[120] On the day of the bankruptcy filing, the company’s trading price on the New York Stock Exchange was 34 cents per share.[120]

According to the Wall Street Journal: “SunEdison used a combination of financial engineering and cheap debt to buy up renewable-power projects around the world before the market turned sour last summer and investors soured on its business model.”[121] During the three years preceding the bankruptcy filing, SunEdison invested $18 billion in acquisitions. During that time, the company also raised $24 billion in debt and equity.[121]

He’s giving it away to his foundation. Which is a perpetual employment machine for his progeny. Tax Free, I might add, since it’s a charity.

Buffet’s giving Gates Foundation all his money too. Then these foundations become NGOs and screw as much of the world as possible. Tax Free!

Lobbying should be banned outright.
States should ban all outside funding for any political office and it should be treated as election interference.
Political ads should be banned unless it’s from the incumbent or nominee.
Any political ad must state verified FACTS.

Never happen but my opinion.

Maybe WV voters will wake up and vote him out. Along with several RINOS for true conservatives. This country as we have known it is lost. I’ll never stop fighting but too many sheeple anymore.

And the Manchin vote was for sale as always.

That always was Manchin's only claim to fame! He made it appear that he was deliberative and thoughtful as he sought out the highest payment....

Wake up WV, this man is not a friend of the people...

IIRC he has a second claim to fame, which is a party boat that he can take out out to international waters.

That “Inflation Bill” should have been called the Commie Politician and Friends’ Enrichment Bill.

Thats why there should be a mandatory detailing of who contributes to any legislation before its passed....
