Right. California will not kill fast food. But the law will kill thousands and thousands of entry-level jobs. And that’s a damn shame. Kids going to school depend on those jobs. And folks who unfortunately cannot do anything else, they depend on those jobs even more.
Silicon Valley firms lobby for this so they can push automation tech on the backend.

When the fast food joints become automated, I would expect to see their ridicules prices drop significantly.
QSR is going to the drive-thru/window pickup/Doordash format, with limited seating and fewer employees.
1 quarter pounder with cheese and medium french fry and a filet o’fish was $13.76 last week in Canoga Park, CA.
I should have used their app and maybe could have found lower prices / combos but dang that was expensive.
