Someone explained something to me this week that made some sense. He said that the medias job is to sell advertising so if it bleeds it leads. In other words, the media is making news, not reporting it.
Here is my thought. Any news which isn’t predicated on journalistic best practices need to be labeled OPINION. It must be splashed on every TV screen, article, radio program, etc. Doesn’t matter political slant or ideology. Make it the new fairness doctrine. If the media refuses to abide by it, that Freedom of the Press thing they talk about when caught in a lie can always be rescinded in a Constitutional Convention.

True. The District of Columbia water purification sysrem is well over a century old. Similar spot problems have arisen. The political leadership in deep blue cities with a lot of negroes imply won’t or can’t address real infrastructure problems because of both their low collective intelligence and the spectacular amount of outright stealing.

Perhaps even worse is that in the 60s, America swallowed a big dose of Leftism and went from supporting and advocating traditional marriage and family life to accommodating and then encouraging single parenthood, with a destructive welfare system that drove the out of wedlock birth rate upward and upward. Much of America -- not just black America -- now lacks not just the education but also the habits and cultural capital necessary for progress in life.

The mayor is black. If black people want to run things they need to do their job and be accountable for their own failures.
Instead of bragging about being an activist and hiring incompetents, they need to prove they are not corrupt and are in control.
Same problem in Chicago. We have a woman who does not have the qualifications and knowledge to run a large city.
The wealthiest, healthiest, best educated, and most free black people on the planet are black Americans. In Africa, there are schools that teach an American accent and how to navigate American life so that Africans can get to the US illegally or on a tourist visa and overstay, and then find a job and work the system in order to gain a green card.
Yet the US also has wretched black slums and a public culture of Leftist race ideology that both ignores and excuses black failure. Worse, the Left is hostile to faith and the formation and encouragement of the character and habits that make for success in life. For whites, intact families, faith, accumulated human capital, and traditional virtues do much to ease the impact.
The Left slyly refers to this as "white supremacy," thereby making the ills caused by the Left against blacks into a racial slur against whites.
